Fabricator Feature: Aurora Stoneworks
Your questions have been answered by one of our trusted fabricators, Aurora Stoneworks.
Tell us about Aurora Stoneworks.
What services does Aurora Stoneworks offer?
As a specialty contractor focusing on countertops, we offer an all-in-house experience when it comes to fabricating and installing countertops. This means consults, templating, fabrication, installation, demo and transporting of materials are done solely by us.
By eliminating third-party crews, this means Aurora Stoneworks oversees all projects from start to finish helping ensure things go smoothly.
How long does it take to fabricate a countertop?
Turnaround is dependent on project size and scope. For example, a single bathroom vanity can be completed within 3 days whereas a full-sized kitchen can take anywhere between 7-10 days to complete.
A handful of variables can affect turnaround time including the complexity of the layout, edge profile, backsplash height, and number of cutouts.
We focus on producing a quality product and will never rush a project. If more time is needed to properly complete a countertop, we make it a priority to contact the Client and provide updates to the timeline as needed.
What type of stones do you work with?
We work with all-natural stones including granite, marble, quartzite, soapstone, and dolomite.
With that, we also work with engineered slabs commonly referred to as quartz.
As of recently, we’ve started taking on porcelain countertops as well.
Should a potential client come to you before or after they choose a stone slab?
Clients come to us in varying stages of their projects and there’s no right or wrong answer.
Visiting Arista first allows the Client to view material in person to jog inspiration.
After making a few rough selections, we can schedule a site visit to review the project in person.
During the visit, we’ll listen to the client’s vision and make our recommendations on material and details such as edge profile and backsplash height.
This team effort between us and Arista helps guide the client in choosing the right material that best suits their needs and goals.
If clients are working with a general contractor (GC) or interior designer, we’d love to partner with them to help fabricate countertops to their specs.
Why do you choose to work with Arista?
Arista is a preferred supplier for many reasons, but selection, competitive pricing, and knowledgeable staff come to mind.
As a fabricator, we feel comfortable referring clients to Arista knowing they will help educate the consumer and point them in the right direction ultimately helping them find perfect material for their projects.
We’ve developed a solid working relationship with Arista over the years and truly enjoy partnering together to help clients from across the Valley achieve beautiful countertop installs.
What are some of your favorite projects you've worked on using Arista Stones?
We’ve completed many projects over the years using Arista Stones. One of our favorite installs was in Gilbert where the project called for (4) slabs of Taj Mahal quartzite throughout the kitchen.
This was a complete rip and replace and the client opted for a bar top conversion in favor of a peninsula with full height backsplash. The project went smoothly and the client was amazing to work with.
The end product shown in these photos are a testament to the solid working relationship between fabricator and supplier. When potential clients ask us for samples of our work, this is a go-to example of what we can achieve.
