Cabinet Colors for Your Dream Kitchen

When designing your kitchen, the only thing that is as important as your kitchen cabinet design is color (well, aside from your countertop material of course).

The cabinet design and color that you decide on are dependent on the overall energy that your space is going to reflect. Are you going for an earthy bohemian look or channeling Dakota Johnson's famous sage green cabinets from her Architectural Digest tour (do you really love limes, Dakota?)?

We digress…

When designing your kitchen, you want a cabinet color that will be on trend yet timeless and reflect who you are and the feeling you want your space to evoke.

A little overwhelming, huh?

Luckily, we’ve got you covered!

We have compiled a list of a few colors from your favorite brands, designers, and celebs, that are bound to strike your fancy.

For our neutral lovers, Sherwin-Williams Crushed Ice (SW 7647) is the closest gray that you can get to white. Its neutral undertone gives it the versatility to match just about any countertop. Because it’s not white, it will give you some leeway in the cleaning department, especially if you have littles!

Color us intrigued! Benjamin Moore Soft Sand (2106-60) is described as a blush, but don’t let that scare you. Blush is the new white, meaning it can go out of style in a heartbeat. With this Benjamin Moore Soft Sand color, you’re getting more of a grey, pinky brown look that evokes feelings of comfort and tranquility. Take a look at it for yourself- it’s perfect for our desert dwellers!

Okay, okay, hear us out.. Benjamin Moore Hodley Red HC-65 is your elevated bold that’s not green. Not that there’s anything wrong with green, we love green but take a look at this muted red. With a deeper countertop material, this color will pop in the best possible way.

When you think of black or charcoal cabinetry, maybe you think of a haunted house or maybe you think of sleek and elevated. Dark cabinets can actually be warm and welcoming and they can make your countertops and backsplash pop! Check out Pitch Black No. 256 by Farrow & Ball
